Leadership Development

At Mission Possible, we don't just work with women and small businesses- we also work with organisations across Europe to help them improve the performance of their leaders.

Most of our work is designed to meet a series of bespoke requirements from clients and ranges from workshops through to individual coaching to effect change in mindset, behaviours and ultimately, organisational results.

Client Case Study

Leading effectively is something that top rugby club captains are used to doing, in order to keep the team performing at the highest level.   Yet leadership skills are also vital for the army of volunteers who run the hundreds of community rugby clubs across England, particularly as more and more of them are becoming small businesses and generating income to invest in people, facilities and rugby programmes.

In 2005 the Rugby Football Union (RFU) set up a Leadership Academy. The aim was to identify the current and next generation of club and Constituent Body leaders and invest in them to develop their leadership skills and confidence. This would enable the volunteer leaders to better manage their clubs resources to meet current aspirations and like all good businesses, prepare plans for future development.

Mission Possible has been closely involved with the RFU in developing the Leadership Academy, and has designed and delivered the workshop input for the programme.

Feedback has shown that the elements of the programme that have been of most value to participants are networking, managing change and learning how to create a vision and strategy for their club.

These areas are also the issues that many small business owners find valuable to address so it's not surprising that the leaders of rugby clubs also find them useful!

Three years on, over 100 leaders have participated and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive particularly in terms of building confidence and developing better relationships with local clubs.
